Donations and Fundraising - Thank You
Over the last month we received approximately £1630 through many kind donations and various fundraising events. This included £1500 raised by Fiona Kenny who organised a ball in Torphicen.. Hamish is currently pulling together information on the income / expenditure since FACE began - from before we linked up with the Endowment office.

How FACE Is Going To Help
We received a number of requests and over the weeks ahead will provide for the oncology wards in the WGH (1) 20 permalux duvets and 80-100 duvet covers for Ward 5 and (2) a new profiling bed for Ward 4. The order for new duvets in Ward 3 is on hold - while the ward is redecorated.

For Queen Margaret we are progressing with them the provision of (1) 3 new profiling beds and (2) 6 Parker Knoll reclining chairs.

For the Borders General arrangements are being made for FACE to supply fresh flowers for the new Oncology unit and daily newspapers. Fiona is also liaising with Sue Cruikshank re a new bed.

Fiona / John to follow up to see if FACE can help with relaxation sessions onsite in the WGH. John also confirmed that FACE have provided an overlay mattress and fleece covers for Barbara Lyle - earmarking funds donated by Lothian & Borders CID. Hamish continues to work on the FACE website and £100 + VAT will be required to register it. New Trustee

Trustees
With Irene standing down at the AGM - Morag Kilgour will take on the role of Trustee. Morag has been involved with FACE for many years and will be a great asset for FACE as Trustee. Congratulations.

Musselburgh Fair
The annual fair at Fisherrow Links is scheduled to take place on Saturday 7 June. Lets hope the sun shines on all our Friends in Musselburgh.

Quiz Night
Watch this space. Keith and Alan are working on it - with a view to holding a quiz night in Sep / Oct. Did you know when the last FACE quiz was ?

Clarinet and Saxophone Choir
Morag had spoken to Richard Keating - who confirmed that the nucleus of the band formed by Douglas are to continue playing and would be happy to play at FACE events, if available.
